Finding the Right Medium
I might say I have as many as a hundred creative interests. With so many of these random “dipped-my-toe-in” hobbies, it’s especially tough to keep track of what I’m GOOD at. Below I’ve complied my documentation of my TOP FIVE art MEDIUMS I’ve used in the past few years.

Paper Scraps
Paper scraps lay in a tender pile where my heart is. I’m starting off with these because they have found a new home in my metaphorical “creative shack”. I’ve scrapbooked memories, compiled old magazine cutouts, collected random items from the street, all to make a final piece like the ones you see here.
Pen & Paper
Starting on Paper
Pen and paper have been a staple for me my entire life. I find myself often turning to the basics to start any project because of their simplicity and versatility in beginning my artistic vision.
Keeping Busy
When asked what time I draw the most, I would say when I’m listening to a speaker at church or when I’m bored out of my mind. Both times it’s when I need something for my hands to do.
Executing the Vision
The more consistency I build in doodling throughout the week, I feel more creative confidence. This confidence allows me to feel more ready to execute an artistic vision in other ways aside from drawing.
Graphics
Graphics have proven to be the medium I use when I need to get my idea drafted out as soon as possible. That way I can then start the refining/editing process sooner.
It’s helpful to be able to manipulate my initial draft and focus on the small details of my design. It’s useful to create a refined design for a client to print or for any online marketing.
Acrylic Paint
Acrylic paint has had it’s uses in my life. I spent a lot of time painting in middle school, as that’s when I was homeschooled the most.
When Covid rolled around, I was ready to fully get back into it. These are some of the different projects I’ve worked on in the past few years. Some are old, some are new.
Beads & Wire
Beads and wire have been a piece of my creativity for SUCH a LONG time. I started with making clip-on earrings when I was in elementary school and it eventually turned into a love for spending hours on the tiniest details of each piece. Now I love to make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, etc.
